Account information. When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, password, and account type (student or company).

Profile and application data. For students, this includes resume content, work history, education, skills, and portfolio links. For companies, this includes company name, industry, hiring needs, and job postings.

Assessment and behavioral data. Our matching engine uses skill assessments and behavioral data you provide or generate while using the Service to help connect students with relevant opportunities.

Usage data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, device and browser type, and IP address.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. See Section 6 for more detail.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
• Match students with relevant companies and job opportunities, and vice versa
• Communicate with you about your account, applications, or matches
• Personalize your experience on the platform
• Monitor and analyze usage trends

With companies. When you apply to a role or are surfaced as a match, we share your profile, assessment results, and application data with that company.

With service providers. We share information with vendors who help us run the Service, such as hosting, email delivery, and analytics providers. They may only use it to provide services to us.

For legal reasons. We may disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of TalentConnect, our users, or the public.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Subject to applicable law, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana, you may:

• Access, correct, or update the information on your profile
• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
• Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any message

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences, and analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.

We use technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security of data you transmit to us.

The Service is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16, and we will delete such information if we become aware of it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you through the Service or by email.
